摘要
A new design of nonlinear all-optical wavelength division multiplexer (WDM) based on spatial solitons in optical communication spectral regions was proposed. By using the swing effect of spatial solitons in a Kerr-type nonlinear medium, the proposed nonlinear waveguide structure could function as an all-optical WDM. The numerical results show that the transmission efficiency is higher than 94%. The device separates spatial solitons interaction in a Kerr-type nonlinear medium and can be used in WDM networks with fixed-tuned receiver and tunable transmitter. It would be a potential key component in the applications of ultra-high-speed and ultra-high-capacity optical communications and optical data processing systems.
