Conductance fluctuations in one- and two-dimensional localized systems

摘要
We study quantum fluctuations in the localized regime of one-dimensional systems. We calculate the variable-range hopping conductance including fluctuations in the size of the states. Quantum effects increase the average resistance without qualitatively changing Mott's law and cannot be neglected for a proper interpretation of experimental results. We also discuss the effects of these fluctuations in two-dimensional systems. (C) 2004 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim.
