摘要
A new Master on Quantitative techniques on business management is offered at the University of Granada, Spain, in this academic course. The knowledge of quantitative methods and econometric models are crucial for the analysis of quantitative data of disciplines such as social and economic sciences, business organization, management, innovation or production and logistics. The aim of this study is to know the expectations and main characteristics of the students who have applied for the Master on Quantitative techniques on business management. We originally scheduled a personal interview in order to assess the full circumstances of the application, but this method was not possible to carry out because of time and distance reasons. Instead of a personal interview, the information was obtained from a survey among the applicants. The purpose of this survey is to provide information to select the most suitable students for this course attending to their training, further education, concerns and intentions and future plans. Some items were crucial for the selection process. Finally, a cluster analysis was applied to identify groups of individuals that share similar characteristics.
