摘要
A biological tissue sample containing fibrotic tendons and a corresponding stained section of the same tissue that exhibits identical acoustic impedance was investigated by coaxial reflective ultrasound-modulated optical tomography employing parallel speckle detection. Both the fibers and stained tissue were visualized as ultrasound-modulated optical signals as a result of the various reflective light patterns emanating from the samples. Analysis of the characteristic backscattered light was investigated with results indicating that these signals reveal microscopic changes in the speckle pattern and macroscopic changes in the ensuing reflected light distribution. Separation of two different objects and enhancement of signal-to-noise ratio are also examined. (C) 2009 The Japan Society of Applied Physics
