摘要
This work aims to make a comparative analysis between two of the most used techniques for estimating voltage sags, the method of fault positions versus the Monte Carlo sampling technique. For the generation of voltage sags events, a short-circuit simulator is implemented with four stochastic input variables: fault rate, fault impedance, fault type, and location. The contrasting of methodologies is developed through the SARFI-X site index, and is evaluated on all the system busbars of three power systems, two IEEE test networks (24 and 118 busbars), and the national network of Ecuador of 357 busbars. The objective of this analysis is to determine whether the proposed methodologies are equivalent diagnostic tools to evaluate voltage sags for power systems.
