摘要
Direction-of-arrival (DOA) and polarization are both the momentous parameters in applications of signal processing and communications. In this paper, a closed-form two-dimensional (2D) DOA and polarization joint estimation method using a sparse diversely polarized antenna array is studied. Specifically, parallel non-collocated sparse co-centered orthogonal loop and dipole (COLD) arrays with potentially reduced mutual coupling effect and increased degrees-offreedom are considered. To achieve the 2D DOA and polarization joint estimation in closed-form, a decoupling rooting rank deficiency method is proposed, which employs the rank reduction principle and polynomial rooting technique. The proposed method can simultaneously estimate 2D DOA and polarization jointly without pair matching or spectral searching procedure. Simulation results are included to illustrate the performance of the proposed method.
