摘要
In this paper, the statics of a 6-DOF parallel kinematic machine tool, which is based on Stewart platform, is analyzed in terms of the non-ideal conditions in which both the weight of moving parts and the frictions in the ball joints (universal joints) are considered. The kinematic model of the parallel kinematic machine tools is derived. The related equations between the processing forces and moments which act on the moving platform and the lengths of extensible struts are deduced. Moreover, the minimal driving powers of various positions and orientations have also been obtained in the workspace. At last, the simplified static equations of BKX-1 parallel kinematic machine tool, considering the processing forces and moments and the driving powers, are also obtained.
