Remote sensing of crop growth characteristics in greenhouses

摘要
Remote sensing of the crop growth and status monitoring in vegetables was conducted in this study by using multi-spectral imaging; and a plant-oriented sensing algorithm based on its physiological status was developed. The effective absorption wavelength bands for chlorophyll and moisture contents were evaluated, and image processing algorithms were developed to convert the images at effective wavelengths into a cubic information structure, in which spatial variation as well as spectral absorption was well processed. Experiments regarding the influence of water stress on the growth status of Pak-choi Chinese cabbage were conducted in a phytotron. The analysis of chlorophyll content and leaf moisture content distributions showed a great potential applications in monitoring the growth of vegetables.
