摘要
Indoor positioning has become a hot topic since the global positioning system cannot function normally under indoor environments. As a popular technology in wireless communication, radio frequency identification shows great potential in the application of indoor positioning. This paper proposed a novel indoor position estimation method by integrating wavelet analysis with artificial neural network in order to utilize the advantages of both methods. Field experiments were conducted in an apartment to locate the trajectory of the old people. Experimental results show that the novel indoor position estimation method outperforms the traditional one and can provide accurate indoor positioning service for the old people to maintain their safety.
