Assessment of Energy Efficiency of Electric Drives of Technological Units at Mining Enterprises by Mathematical Modeling Method

摘要
The article deals with the problems that determine the features of mathematical modeling of electric drive systems of technological units of mining enterprises (on the base of the diamond industry) in MatLab. A brief description of the capabilities of the MatLab software package and its applications for modeling complex electromechanical systems is presented. For the analysis we have chosen three most common drive systems of technological units of the mining industry: a frequency-regulated electric drive on the basis of a synchronous electric engine of a ventilator unit of the main aeration of a mine; a controlled rectifier - DC engine with independent excitation of a skip lift unit of a mine; a frequency-adjustable electric engine on the basis of the asynchronous engine of a pulp pump unit of a processing factory. All the above-stated units have a capacity of more than 1 MW and make a great contribution to the power consumption of enterprises. For each of them, the mathematical models were developed to assess the main parameters (angular velocity, torque, power) in different operating modes and to draw conclusions about the possibility of improving energy efficiency by means of the electric drive.
