摘要
The response of the person of the object invested in a love relation intervenes constantly in psychic construction. It enables the repetition compulsion to avoid repeating what is identical, and introduces novelty in the form of elements that are heterogenous to the subject, whilst the transitional object is homogenous to the latter's psyche. The object's person plays the role of a portraitist mirror, a pygmalion in spite of itself, that offers the subject the possibility of identifying with what he is for the other.
