An Empirical Study on Interaction Model of Generative Teaching of College English in Mainland China

摘要
This paper compared the traditional interaction model of teaching and the interactional model of generative teaching, and it also further examined the validity of the new interaction model through a case study carried out to testify Interaction Model of Generative Teaching (IMGT) with instruments like Flanders' Interaction Analysis System (FIAS) (Flanders, 1970), classroom observation with video recording and discourse analysis, to demonstrate how meaningful discussions were elicited in the classroom interactive environment. The results proved the validity of the interaction model of IMGT to interpret and guide the classroom interaction.
