It is revealed, that values are the first to change in the process of sociocultural system modernization. Ethnical identity is transformed less. The increase of identity uncertainty in all groups irrespective of the level of their modernization is observed. It is revealed, that psychological well-being of typical cultures representatives is less then modem cultures ones. Orientation on values of Universalism and giving values of Conformity up promote the psychological well-being in modem types cultures. Orientation on values of Self-direction has an important adaptive meaning for traditional cultures representatives.
