摘要
Arc-induced long-period fiber gratings accompanied with acrylate polymers coated on the silica fiber are evaluated to monitor the temperature. The transmission spectrum of the fiber grating, showing the band-rejection filter response, is not deteriorated during the increase of the surrounding temperature up to 250 degrees C by the advance heating-cooling process. The resonance peak wavelength shifts regularly to longer wavelength side as the temperature increased; it is approximated by a quadratic fitting curve with the coefficient of determination R-2 = 0.999. The resonance peak loss is kept at least 24 dB over the temperature measurement range. (C) 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
