Channeling and filtering in narrow band wireless personal communications

摘要
Methods to calculate the adjacent channel interference, together with simulation techniques and software to be used, are proposed and discussed in this writing. In analog and digital communications systems the signal to noise (interference) ratio can be used as a criterion to indicate the degree of degradation due to energy spill over from the adjacent channels. Some of the preliminary results that demonstrate the relationship between the interference and the choice of filter at the transmitter and receiver are discussed. Impairments caused by multi-path fading, cochannel interference, and thermal noise will not be discussed, however.
