摘要
Due to the great variability of Doner-Kebap and comparable products on the market in Germany and a lack of regulative standards, the decisions of conformity with generally accepted trading practices were contradictorily in the past. Therefore, food control officials in Germany have discussed the actual situation and developed a proposal for a coordinated actual set of product names and appendant definitions, comprising three different categories: Category 1: "Doner Kebap", a product manufactured according to the guiding principles of the German Food Code; Category 2: "minced meat on skewer in Doner Kebap style" ("Hackfleisch-Drehspiess nach Doner-Kebap Art"), a product with properties approximately fulfilling the requirements for "Doner Kebap"; Category 3: "minced meat on skewer", a product with properties distinct from the requirements for "Doner Kebap".
