摘要
A series of LDPE - carboxymethyl starch blends were prepared. Ethylene/acrylic acid copolymer (EAA) was used as a compatibilizer in three different amounts: 10, 25 and 50 wt%, based on carboxymethyl starch (CMS). The blends were studied by attenuated total reflectance spectroscopy (ATR) and thermgravimetric analysis (TGA). Mechanical properties, such as tensile strength, elongation at break and Young's Modulus were studied as a function of polysaccharide concentration. The blends containing 5 and 10 wt.% CMS and 50 wt.% EAA show better mechanical properties, compared to LDPE, as well as good thermal properties.
