Investigation of sound properties of nanostructured pure and composite ceramics

摘要
The influence of the grain size on the ultrasonic velocity and attenuation for pure nano-ceramics is investigated by a contactless laser ultrasonic technique. Results show that the ultrasonic velocities of pure nano ceramics are lower than that of composite nano-ceramics The velocity and elastic moduli decrease with decreasing grain size, but the attenuation incresases; with decreasing grain size. The results, discussion, and the comparison between the results of pure and composite nano-ceramics are presented.
