摘要
The chemical characters of three fucoidan fractions from Laminaria japonica were determined. Their inhibition activities on PC peroxidation by HPLC and the free radical scavenging effects on superoxide radical and hydroxyl radical of them by chemiluminescence method were studied. The results showed that all three fucoidan fractions had significant scavenging effects on free radicals. Among them fraction I with high glucuronic acid and low sulfate contents displayed the highest scavenging effects on free radicals. Its IC50 on O-2(.-) was 0.044 mg/ml, and its IC50 on (OH)-O-. was 0.062 mg/ml. The free radical scavenging effects of three fucoidan fractions decreased after active oxygen damage. All three fucoidan fractions exhibited inhibitory activity on PC peroxidation, but they had no clear induction period.
