3D representation of ternary diffusion

摘要
The interdiffusion study of the Ti-Mo-Ta b.c.c. solid solution was carried out at 1500°C using the pseudobinary diffusion coefficient D̃Ti-x. To consider the respective influence of each element over the whole ternary diagram, 3 different Ti-(xMo-yTa) couples were characterized. Clearly, the pseudobinary diffusion coefficient through its representation on a specific 3D graph appeared as a useful tool for ternary diffusion studies.
