Development of Ultra-High Hardness Hard Coating Films Using a Roll-to-Roll Coating System

摘要
Developments of high hardness hard coating optical films are required to replace plastic windows according to trends in thinning and slimming of display elements in recent years. Hard coating agents used in this case have been applied to different fields such as cell phones, front tubes of flat plate displays, coating of plastics, and so on. Photo-curable acrylic coating agents allow both curing in a short period of time and curing at room temperature. Also, the agents have been used as a general surface protection coating agent for different plastic products. It requires the characteristics of excellent hardness, adhesive strength with films, and coating external appearance without curls and rainbows in order to apply the photo-curable acrylic coating agents as a display coating agent. In this study ultra-high hardness hard coating films that represent excellent high hardness and flexibility without curls and rainbows were developed through a simple process with low cost materials. In addition, the characteristics of the developed films were verified.
