RESEARCH ON LITERATURE TEACHING FROM 2008 TO 2018: WHAT THEY REVEAL AND THE LESSONS LEFT

摘要
The article is the result of research developed at the postgraduate level and presents what has been discussed about the teaching of literature in Brazil. The study sought to answer the question: what do the aforementioned researches on the theme show and which references are basic for the analyzes. It was developed through state-of-the-art research in theses and dissertations, published between 2008 and 2018, on the public domain portal and in graduate programs at the Federal University of Rondonia (UNIR). The data were collected from the descriptors "literature" and "teaching of literature". The results show that it is difficult to distinguish between literature class and Portuguese language class. The concern with making teaching motivating was noted. UNIR courses present research, within the scope of literature, but focused on literary criticism. It is concluded that research in the theoretical field of literature predominated. Bakhtin (1997), Candido (2011), Cosson (2006; 2014) and Freire (1979; 1988; 1997; 2007) were the main bases present in studies that combine theory and practice.
