The insight into the frequency of cognitive disorders following stroke is needed for both theoretical and practical aims. This study was designed to determine the prevalence of higher cortical functions deficits in the post-acute phase of the first stroke. Cognitive impairments have been detected in the majority of 100 assessed stroke patients.
