TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS OF USING COMPUTERS IN LANGUAGE LEARNING

Learning foreign languages through technology has become a fact of life and some language educators are intrigued by the constantly changing challenge in this field The paper looks at a short history of Computer Assisted Language Learning at the University of Defence, briefly summarises the results of research projects in this field in the last decade, and critically evaluates reasonable use of computers in foreign language learning, teaching, and testing.
