A case of an ipsilateral sternoclavicular (SC) joint dislocation and clavicle fracture is reported. Two hours postinjury an open reduction and internal fixation of thr fractured clavicle was performed using a Kirschner wire plus a stainless steel cerclage wire. This was followed by a surgical repair of the SC joint capsule. The Kirschner wire and cerclage wires were removed 10 months later. The patient had complete recovery of shoulder function.
