摘要
A new Fault Tolerant System (FTS) for six-phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines (PMSM) working at variable speed is proposed in this paper. The strategy is able to tolerate up to four open-circuit faults and it aims to minimize torque ripple and reduce the reactive power on the machine operating under fault and no-fault conditions. The control algorithm is based on the theory of instantaneous active and reactive power and is implemented with two conventional threephase inverters. The FTS consists of two blocks per converter, the fault detection algorithm and a new power limitation algorithm per phase. Simulation results that validate this proposal are also presented.
