On the phase diagram of a 'collapsing' hard-sphere system

摘要
The principal phase diagram of a system with a repulsive step potential is built using the properties of a hard- sphere system as a starting point. The behaviour of the melting curve is discussed and the possibility of a phase transition in the liquid phase is indicated.
