Thangka Image Classification Based on Sub-Block Color Histograms

摘要
In order to overcome the defect of Thangka image classification method based on the global color histogram, which does not include the color spatial distribution information. In this paper, a different Thangka image classification approach based on sub-block color histogram is proposed. First, we divide the Thangka images into sub-blocks, extract the histogram features of every image sub-block, then identify and classify the image using histogram intersection method. Our experimental results show that this method has a higher accuracy than the method based on global color histogram.
