摘要
Antibacterial cardboard was prepared in this study by coating method using nano-ZnO as an antibacterial agent. Its antibacterial effect was investigated by inhibition zone method. In addition, the mechanical properties of the cardboard, such as tensile strength, folding endurance, bursting strength and ring crush strength, were studied under different ZnO antibacterial agent concentrations. Results showed that the tensile strength, folding endurance, bursting strength, and ring crush strength were increased with increased concentration of the antimicrobial agent. The measurements reached maximum when the concentration was 0.075 wt%. The inhibition zone diameter was initially increased with increased concentration of antimicrobial agent but decreased when the concentration was more than 0.1 wt%. The maximum diameter was 5.85 mm when the concentration was 0.1 wt%.
