摘要
The need for high fidelity simulation is increasing within the arena of government contracting as the systems that are procured become larger and more complex. The Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite constellation is a national resource that provides an accurate method for precise global navigation. This system, which is operated around the clock by the U.S. Air Force, requires a high degree of accuracy for real-time operations. Lockheed Martin Mission Systems has developed a high fidelity simulator for the Air Force's GPS command and control operations. The simulation of the constellation and its ground control components will enable the Air Force to conduct highly realistic training in a controlled environment to promote operationally-ready satellite controllers.
