摘要
The sustainable development moves a part of the western democratic countries. In this context, the Brazilian government has recently adopted policies of economic development for the Amazon that oppose this model when elaborating speeches, actions, regulations and public policies that increasingly allow the destruction of forests and traditional populations to the detriment of economic businesses that promote predatory exploitation. In this context is inserted the Association of Agroforesters of the project of Consortium and Thickened Economic Reforestation (Reflorestamento Economico Consorciado e Adensado - Reca), that has 30 years of existence and, through a democratic and participatory community management, produces sustainable goods and services for the consumer market, which makes economic development compatible with environmental preservation.
