摘要
At the end of the 20th century and at the beginning of the 21st century, in Romania, discussion about sexual life and health issues arising from this were an extremely delicate topic in society, even among young people. If we refer to the people older than 40-50 years, the subject was taboo, as well as other topics related to sexuality, procreation and birth. A first change in these approaches and attitudes can be seen in the large number of consultations on this subject that patients ask for gynaecologists, especially in private clinicsand the increasing percentage of patients who are and even those that have passed by the second age and are addressed to gynecologists and sexologists for these reasons. Of course, these data are simple statistical observations, but they reveal a significant increase in the addressability to the doctor of patients who are no longer young, with this type of medical problem and, therefore, a good augmentation of interest, involvement and, of course, health education and the quality of life of these patients.
