Effect of nickel and cadmium ions on bean leaf delayed luminescence

摘要
The delayed luminescence is studied in bean leaves treated with CdCl2 and NiCl2 in vivo. Value of delayed luminescence induction curve steady state is 8-10 times as much and maximum value increases by 25-50% in presence of nickel ions as ones in control experiment. Temperature lowering to 10-15 degrees C diminishes the effect. The Cd ions influence on induction curve is essentially different from the Ni one. Curve's maximum value is 3-4 times and steady state is 2-3 as much in presence of cadmium ions as ones in control experiment. Mechanism of Cd2+ and Ni2+ effect on electron-transport chain of high plants photosynthetic apparatus has been suggested.
