摘要
Objective Many services older people can benefit from lack of accessibility, adoptability and usability of the user interface concerning arising special needs. The aim of the AALuis project is to facilitate the connection of different services to different user interfaces and thus to enable the users of AAL systems to use more services interacting in their preferred way. An open middleware layer that can be used for different platforms to connect different user interfaces to existing AAL systems, new AAL services and innovative user interfaces will be developed. Main Content The project aims to contribute to a wider use of AAL technologies by creating flexibility and adoptability, increasing acceptance by providing intuitive interfaces, contributing to interoperability, developing market oriented services and enhancing market opportunities. Results In the course of the project prototypes with a short time-to-market addressing the mentioned objectives allowing the demonstration of the whole system will be developed. The developments will range from the AALuis middleware layer to new AAL services and innovative user interfaces. These prototypes will be evaluated in labs and real-life settings with users. Conclusion The presented project aims to facilitate the connection of different services to different types of user interfaces and thus to enable the future users of AAL systems to use more services interacting in their preferred way.
