A NONLINEAR CONTROLLER DESIGN FOR VARIABLE SPEED WIND TURBINES USING ANFIS

摘要
In this work, ANFIS controller is proposed to achieve maximum power extraction for a two mass wind energy system. The major problems in the wind energy system are due to high disturbance of wind speeds and unable to measure wind speed variations effectively. For the effective measurement of wind speeds, force balance equations are used. The measured wind speeds are used for control purpose. In this work ANFIS controller used for the control of whole wind energy system. The inner dynamics are controlled by inner feedback loop with PI control action and for outer loop control, two methods are used. Those are FUZZY logic controller and ANFIS controller. By performing the various simulation studies under MATLAB/SIMULINK environment, the proposed controller produced better time domain specifications compare with FUZZY logic control with respect to parametric variations also.
