Kinetics of Rice Straw Enzymatic/Mild Acidolysis Lignin Pyrolysis

The thermochemical degradation characteristics of the rice straw EMAL (enzymatic/acidolysis lignin) were studied with thermogravimetric analysis (TG), and the behaviors of rice straw EMAL pyrolysis in the Ni-catalyst condition and the pyrolysis was also studied in Nitrogen atmosphere at different heating rates for 10 degrees C/min, 20 degrees C/min, and 30 degrees C/min respectively from room temperature to 800 degrees C. By the pyrolysis method, the rules of straw EMAL pyrolysis could be obtained. On the basis of pyrolysis characteristics of rice straw EMAL, Coats-Redfern law was adapted to simulate the dynamic equations of rice straw EMAL pyrolysis. The results showed that kinetic model of rice straw EMAL pyrolysis was a first-order reaction. The temperatures and the conversion rates increased as the heating rate increased at maximum rate of weight loss, and catalyst exited in the pyrolysis process of rice straw EMAL, lignin pyrolysis achieved maximum weight loss rate at temperature in advance from 300 degrees C and 399 degrees C to 293 degrees C and 386 degrees C. According to differential thermal analysis of rice straw EMAL, the parameters of pyrolysis kinetics of rice straw EMAL were calculated to obtain the equation and kinetic parameters of pyrolysis kinetics.
