摘要
In this work, a microstrip patch antenna is designed for wireless liquid sensor applications. The proposed antenna is composed of a rectangular radiation patch, a substrate with microfluidic channels and a metal ground plane. The microfluidic channels are etched on polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) substrate. The proposed antenna is used for detecting changes of the relative permittivity for different liquids in the microfluidic channels. The performance of the proposed antenna is demonstrated through full-wave simulation. The results show that the working frequency of the proposed antenna can shift according to the different liquids in the microfluidic channels. That is, the proposed antenna can be employed as a remote chemical sensor by detecting changes in the resonant frequencies.
