摘要
In this paper, we report a 3D printed waffle type waveguide for millimeter wave application. We designed the waffle type waveguide for Ka-band application. In the fabrication, a selective laser sintering (SLS) metallic 3D printing technique was used. The waffle type waveguide consists of a waveguide part and two filter parts for electromagnetic wave transmission and attenuation, respectively. By the S-parameter measurement, the operation of the waffle type waveguide was verified. Moreover, we achieved excellent characteristics; reflection loss was less than -20 dB, and the highest insertion loss was -0.5 dB in frequencies from 223 GHz, to 34.0 GHz.
