Neutrino emission from type Ia supernovae

摘要
Type Ia supemovae(SNe) produce a burst of neutrino emission due to the electron capture on free protons and nuclei in the hot and dense matter processed by explosive nucleosynthesis. We calculated its luminosity and energy spectrum for a standard SN Ia model and with updated weak reaction rates. We found the peak neutrino (v,) luminosity of similar to 10(50) erg s(-1) and the duration of the burst similar to 1 sec. We also calculated the spectrum of the neutrino emission.
