摘要
This paper presents a comparison between an improved direct power control using hysteresis and artificial neural regulators applied to a wind energy conversion system (WECS) using a doubly fed induction machine (DFIM) as a generator. We assume that the direct power control (DPC) has numerous advantages such as the easy implementation that permits a perfect decoupling between active and reactive powers, as well as the good performance at transient and steady state without PI controller and rotating coordinate transformations. To introduce the WECS adopted, the wind turbine modelling and the dynamic model of the asynchronous generator is presented. Subsequently, a detailed explanation of the controls is spreading out in addition of the principle of adjusting the active and reactive powers according to the wind profile. Moreover, the estimation method of the two variables controlled will be presented in addition to the switching table used for the multilevel inverter. Finally, the system will be tested using an asynchronous machine of 1.5 KW under Matlab / Simulink to demonstrate the effectiveness of these controls.
