摘要
Tinsley (2000) poses a paradox: P-E Fit works. but Holland's hexagon does not. I illustrate the virtues of the P-E Fit model (or the P-E Interaction model) as a paradigm for psychology by deriving the concepts of self and personality from the model and discussing the implications of such derivation for psychological assessment. I also show how the measurement of P-E Fit might benefit from the mathematical concept of correspondence. Finally, I speculate on how Holland's use of six types is both blessing and curse.
