A 2-band Monte Carlo study of the pseudogap in high T-c superconductors

A variety of experimental, evidence has confirmed the presence of a pseudogap in the high T-c cuprate superconductors. Monte Carlo simulations using a planar 2-band model with a local pairing interaction are used to produce a temperature vs hole doping phase diagram. The simulated diagram is in good qualitative and quantitative agreement with available experimental data.
