Light sensitivity of quantitative resistance in soybean to white mold caused by Sclerotinia sclerotiorum

摘要
Greenhouse studies demonstrated light sensitivity and a need for photosynthate in white mold resistance. Field experiments tested the effect of row spacing and planting density on white mold in soybean. Low-density soybeans had more leaves, greater photosynthetic capacity, and fewer main stem lesions. Field and greenhouse results agree.
