Improving Nursery Education in Public Primary Schools in Warri and Effurun Cities of Delta State

The study sought to investigate effective measures for improving the operation of nursery education in public primary schools in Warri and Effurun cities of Delta State. Three research questions were posed while 32 schools heads and 64 pre-school teachers in 29 public primary schools in Warri and Effurun formed the sample for the study. The instrument of data collection was a structured 23-item questionnaire and data was analyzed using frequencies and percentages. The findings of the study identified seven measures for improving the standard of nursery education in public primary schools in Warri and Effurun cities of Delta State. Based on the findings, recommendations were made.
