摘要
Sufficient primary implant stability is a prerequisite for predictable implant-prosthetic restoration according to the immediate or early loading protocol. In particular, the increased esthetic awareness of patients and the desire for implant prosthetic restoration in a timely manner have led to immediate or early implant restoration and implant loading, getting increasingly into the focus of dental practitioners. The desired restoration and loading protocols can be implemented even in compromised bone by means of novel nanotopographies, functionalized implant surfaces after UV irradiation/nonthermal plasma activation and/or progressive thread designs. By restoring the implant immediately after insertion, an adequate soft tissue management can be applied through the design of the temporary prosthetic restoration in order to get an optimum esthetic result. The present publication introduces the results after immediate restoration and immediate loading with implants, comprising a progressive thread design and a functionalized surface by means of a case report and a case series.
