摘要
This article is to discuss the security analyses of TDM/CDMA VSAT Satellite Communication Network. This is a nearly developed VSAT network which supports integrated services including data, audio, video etc. The scope of this discussion is the real world design and application of network security service. Here the security service is considered as a built-in component of the network management system for the integrity of safety, reliability and accessibility. Besides the protection of information content, security of the network covers the safe, reliable and efficient allocation of network resources and equipment from possible malfunction and hacking attempt. The analyses focus on requirements and functionalities of the network security without going into the details of cipher algorithm or implementation.
