The adsorption of uranium on clay and the effect of humic substances

摘要：
Adsorption of hexavalent uranium and of humic substances from aqueous solutions on cypris clay were studied as a function of pH of the solution, concentration of humic substances and clay-to-solution ratio. It has been found that the presence of humic substances enhances uranium adsorption at low pH values due to the formation of clay-humate complex.
