Perspective of the university student on the practice of values in teachers

摘要
Formation based on values is a primordial aspect in the life of every human being. When these values begin to fade, due to the arrival of a modernity whose center is individual, the equilibrium of the society is affected. Hence, teachers operate as the key players for encouraging them through words and actions in the classroom: always reinforcing that the values are a guide to for orienting the life of human beings. This research was developed with a quantitative focused methodology. It sought the opinion of 431 Mexican public university students through a 19 items questionnaire about the practice of values of their professors. According to the data obtained, the students assured to not have been enrolled in a subject related to values at the university. Regarding teachers, despite being considered inspirational subjects that foster students to be better professionals, with certain frequency they are susceptible to break university norms and values.
