摘要
Shear capacity of fiber reinforced high-strength concrete beams is investigated. Both metallic (steel) and non-metallic (polyolefin and carbon) fibers are used keeping the volume fraction to 1%. Models based on the uniaxial tension response includes the effects of fiber type, material and volume fraction in the constitutive equation as opposed to empirical models. A truss model is outlined which incorporates most of the pertinent mechanisms observed in the experiments, including the rebar-to-concrete bond and crack widths. The model has captured the essentials of the experiments.
