摘要：

Water-distilled essential oil from aerial parts of Varthemia persica DC. growing wild in Iran was analyzed by GC and GC/MS. Thirty-two compounds, constituting 89.3% of the total detected components, were identified, Of these, beta-eudesmol (31.7%) and spathulenol (23.5%) were the major components.
